2026-2027 Season: Michigan Premier Basketball - Family Commitment Agreement
This Family Commitment Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Michigan Premier Basketball ("Program") and the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) ("Family") of the player identified below. By signing this Agreement, the Family acknowledges and agrees to the expectations, responsibilities, financial obligations, and commitments associated with participation in Michigan Premier Basketball for the 2026–2027 season.
1. Acceptance of Roster Spot
By signing this Agreement, the Family accepts the player's roster position with Michigan Premier Basketball for the 2026–2027 season. This Agreement represents a full-year commitment beginning September 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2027.
The Family understands that acceptance of the player's roster position reserves a place on the team for the entire season and prevents Michigan Premier Basketball from offering that roster position to another athlete. Therefore, this Agreement constitutes a binding financial commitment for the full contract term, regardless of the player's level of participation or continued involvement with the Program, except as expressly provided in this Agreement.
2. Financial Commitment
The Family agrees to pay the applicable Program tuition as follows:
-7th & 8th Grade Teams and 2028, 2029, and 2030 Teams: $150 per month for 12 consecutive months.
-5th & 6th Grade Teams: $125 per month for 12 consecutive months.
-4th Grade Teams: $100 per month for 12 consecutive months.
Payments begin September 1, 2026.
Payment options:
☐ Automatic recurring monthly payments charged to a valid credit/debit card on file.
☐ Paid in full in advance through Venmo: @andrea-cabana.
3. Non-Cancelable Commitment
The Family understands this Agreement is a full-season financial commitment. Once signed and the player's roster spot has been accepted, monthly payments cannot be canceled, suspended, or discontinued before the end of the Agreement term.
Participation in fewer practices, games, tournaments, or Program activities does not reduce or eliminate the financial obligation. Withdrawal from the Program for any reason does not release the Family from the remaining balance due.
4. Refund Policy
All payments made to Michigan Premier Basketball are non-refundable.
Refunds or release from financial obligations will only be considered under extreme circumstances as determined solely by the Program Director.
5. Payment Policies
Monthly payments are due on the scheduled payment date. Payments more than ten (10) calendar days late may be assessed a $25 late fee.
Michigan Premier Basketball reserves the right to suspend participation until the account is current.
The Family is responsible for maintaining valid payment information on file. If a payment is declined due to insufficient funds, expired card, bank error, or other payment processing issues, Michigan Premier Basketball may automatically retry payment. The Family agrees to update payment information promptly. Repeated declined payments may result in suspension until the account is current.
6. Unpaid Balances
The Family remains responsible for all financial obligations under this Agreement. If Michigan Premier Basketball must pursue collection of unpaid amounts, the Family agrees to pay reasonable collection costs, including attorney fees and court costs, to the extent permitted by Michigan law.
7. Injury, Illness, Playing Time, and Participation
Program tuition is based on reserving a roster position and the operation of Michigan Premier Basketball, not on playing time, number of games played, or participation in specific events.
Financial obligations remain in effect regardless of injury, illness, inability to participate, playing time decisions, team placement, team role, or voluntary withdrawal from the Program. Exceptions must be approved in writing by the Program Director.
8. Default and Acceleration of Balance
The Family is considered in default if payments remain unpaid for more than thirty (30) days, payment terms are not fulfilled, or payment information is not updated after notice.
Upon default, Michigan Premier Basketball may declare the remaining balance immediately due, suspend participation, refuse future registration until balances are paid, and pursue available remedies under this Agreement or applicable law.
9. Code of Conduct Acknowledgment

This period allows conversations to occur in a respectful and productive manner.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in conversations, removal from activities, suspension, or dismissal from the Program. Such actions do not eliminate financial obligations under this Agreement.
10. Photo, Video, and Social Media Release
The Family grants Michigan Premier Basketball permission to photograph, record, and capture video of the player during Program activities.
Michigan Premier Basketball may use these materials for website content, social media, promotional materials, marketing, team announcements, and Program communications.
The Family releases Michigan Premier Basketball from claims related to authorized use of these materials.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
Any dispute related to this Agreement shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If unresolved, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action unless prohibited by law.
Any legal action arising from this Agreement shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court located in Jackson County, Michigan, unless otherwise required by law.
