MICHIGAN PREMIER ADVISORY BOARD
Andrea has coached/directed AAU basketball for 12 years, winning 3 AAU state titles and placing 12th (division 1) at AAU Nationals. Most recently her Michigan Premier high school team earned the respect of many elite programs and college coaches by beating several shoe program teams and winning large national tournaments such as the USJN Windy City Classic, USJN Memorial Day Challenge, LBI April Showers, and the Cincinnati Clash . 100% of her Michigan Premier alumni have earned college scholarships and are playing at the next level.
For the past six seasons she was the Grass Lake girls' varsity head coach where she holds a current 83% (111-24) winning record. In 2017 she was awarded the Jackson Citizen Patriot coach of the year and the Associated Press’s all-state second team coach of the year. In 2019 she was once again named the MLive Jackson area coach of the year and the Associated Press's all-state second team coach of the year. In 2021 she claimed Jackson County's first ever girls basketball MHSAA State Championship and was named the Basketball Coaches Association Of Michigan and the Michigan High School Coaches Association coach of the year as well as coach of the year for MLive's Dream Team, The Associated Press, and The Detroit News.
In 2022 she was selected as BCAM's President-Elect and named Chelsea High School's boys basketball head varsity coach. She is passionate about her players and teaching life skills through the game she loves.

Michigan premier requires all teams to have one head coach and one assistant/bench coach. Our high school teams all have a non-parent head coach who have earned an USA Basketball Gold License.
All coaches have successfully cleared a criminal background screening.
Michigan Premier coaches are passionate and committed to girls basketball. They understand that coach development is as important as player development. Therefore, they are constantly striving to learn in all areas of the game.
Michigan Premier coaches attend nationally accredited coaching clinics. Coaches spend hours in the coaching classroom in an effort to provide the best coaching available for the Michigan Premier players. USA Basketball youth development courses and the BCAM Coaches Clinic are remarkable sources of higher learning for serious and passionate coaches. These recourses provide coaches valuable insight and education for teaching the game of basketball to young players. Guest speakers from highly renowned collegiate national programs share their views and insights to creating successful players/teams. They demonstrate their on-court coaching drills and techniques. Coaches depart with increases knowledge and passion for the game.
